This book brings together a group of experienced practitioners from across the country to reflect on ways of Working for Equality. They focus on class, race, gender, poverty, disability and homelessness as well as health and education. They are concerned with individuals as well as ideas and policy instruments. Each article is short and accessible, a pause for thought for those most concerned with action.
These contributions are postcards from the frontline, as well as from backstage, where much of the work aimed at reducing inequality takes place. They show something of what it entails, reflect on what it has achieved, express their frustrations and identify the challenges which remain.
